About Me

Woodworking has been a passion of mine since I was a kid growing up in Newfoundland, and would deconstruct things just so I could rebuild them. In High School, I maximized the space in my tiny bedroom by building myself a loft bed out of my Dad’s workshop. Shortly after, I combined woodworking with my other passion, drumming, and taught myself to build a snare drum from scratch.

After flying the nest and landing in Toronto, I built out my first shop. It was a 40 sqft basement cellar that leaked worse than a bad marketing scheme, but it was mine, and I loved it.

When the pandemic hit, a reduced load at work meant that I had the opportunity to spend more time in my shop – now a 120 sqft windowless basement room. My friends and family had been telling me to film my work for years, so I finally succumbed to peer pressure and launched my YouTube channel in 2020.

Now I'm stoked to be operating out of a tiny 220 sqft single-car garage that I renovated myself. I often cater to audiences with small shops because that's what I know best. I hope that through watching my trials and errors in the shop, by sharing my expertise, discoveries, and designs, I can inspire other hobbyist woodworkers to explore and expand their own craft. I sell plans and courses to take out the guesswork and give fellow woodworkers the chance to build alongside me.

FAQ

Is this course for me?

Yes. This course is designed for woodworkers of all levels, particularly beginner to intermediate home hobbyists.

Will I be able to ask for help?

Yes! At the bottom of every lesson there is a place to ask questions and I'll do my best to respond to every single one in a timely manner.

Do I need a cabinet-style table saw, or can I use a jobsite table saw?

You can definitely use a jobsite table saw to make any of the joinery in this course.

Do I need a band saw?

Nope.

Is the course in imperial or metric?

I do speak mostly in imperial measurements, but precise numbers do not come up very often, since everything is relative and relies more on feel rather than values.

How long do I have access to the course content?

There is no restriction for how long you have access to the course materials.

Can I download the videos?

Unfortunately, due to a few surprising attempts to pirate my paid content already (I know, I'm a pretty big deal), the course videos are not available for download.

What happens after I make the purchase?

You will receive an order confirmation email. You will also receive a second email with a link to access the course content. Please make an account on the website to be able to return to the course whenever you like, without having to search through your email.

I didn't get any emails?

Check your spam folder. C'mon, this is basic stuff. If you still haven't received anything after a half hour from purchase, send me an email via my contact form. 99/100 it is caused by a typo in your email.
